On the evening of January 12, 2019, the College of Engineering of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its New Year tea party, themed ”the light of the College of Engineering”. SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong and Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang were both in attendance. The party was hosted by the Party Committee of the College of Engineering with the help of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

Xu Zhenghe, dean of the College of Engineering, delivered a speech about the progress the College has made in areas such as education, teaching, scientific research, internationalization in 2018. He said the College of Engineering will play a leading role in 2019, adhere to reform and innovation, and better advance various work.

Guo Yurong affirmed the work of the Party Committee of the College of Engineering and was delighted and comforted by their efforts in 2018. She hoped that in 2019, the College of Engineering would continue to work hard in adhering to the spirit of SUSTech, striving forward and make better achievements.

Teacher and student representatives then gave wonderful artistic performances, ahead of the wishing of a good New Year for teachers and students.
